As the Team Leader for the Estimation Department at IVAB, you will play a central role in leading, developing, and ensuring the quality of our estimation work. You will combine operational responsibility with a clear leadership role where you support and coordinate the estimators in their daily tasks.

In this role, you will have a particular responsibility for developing methods, processes, and digital tools to enable efficient, scalable, and future-proof estimation work. Digitalization and the use of AI-based support are seen as important tools to both improve quality and increase the volume of estimates that the department can deliver, without compromising accuracy or business acumen.

You will lead an experienced team that is currently located in several locations – Piteå, Uppsala, and Tierp – and collaborate closely with other departments within the company as well as with clients and suppliers.

The Team Leader reports to the business area manager and is expected to contribute operationally by preparing estimates and related documentation. The role is both strategic and practical, requiring good structure, clear communication, and an approachable leadership style.

Common tasks include

• Leading and developing the estimation department by creating structure, clear methods, and effective processes
• Planning, distributing, and following up on estimation work while ensuring a good balance in workload and deliveries
• Supporting and coaching the team in technical and strategic matters while ensuring competence development and onboarding of new employees
• Ensuring high quality in estimation work through guidelines, templates, reviews, and good documentation
• Working operationally with estimates, quotes, and related documentation such as schedules, payment plans, and resource planning
• Driving improvement and development work within the estimation function in close collaboration with other departments
• Being the contact point for the organization and communicating status, capacity, and development needs to management

Travel may be required for the position.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in estimation work and a good understanding of the entire process – from request for proposal to completed quote. You have a structured working style and thrive in a role where you both lead others and are operational yourself.

We would prefer if you have experience in installation, construction, HVAC, electrical, or industrial sectors, and that you have worked with standards, industry regulations, and various contract forms. Previous experience in leadership or coordination is an advantage.

As a person, you are confident, communicative, and engaged. You create structure and trust within the team and have a good ability to collaborate both internally and externally. Additionally, we also see that you have very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
